I’ve been restless and sleepless for four days now. My six year old son has been complaining of tooth ache. We’ve been to his dentist and had his tooth examined. Good thing, there’s nothing seriously wrong with his teeth. He just needs stay away from too much sweet food these days.
As a mother, any pain my son is feeling is a cause of great anxiety for me. Sometimes, I feel so helpless and more pain than my kid. My husband has been telling me take everything easily. He says there’s really nothing to worry. I just need to talk to our son to know what’s causing him pain.
But you can’t really blame me. I’m a natural born worrier.

Hi Daniele
I am a father of a nine year old girl, here in England, and we recently visited our dentist for her six monthly check up. After having her teeth x-rayed, our dentists advise me that Colleen two front teeth that have impacted, and might have limited growth. I explained to Colleen that we have to wait for a year or two to see if her teeth will remain as they are or grow some more. Well, she being already conscious of her appearance took the new not too well. I felt her anxiety, and tried to console her as best I could.
Some weeks have passed since her dental check up and Colleen is just getting on with her life, as should all small children...though I am still concerned inside, but I too must continue on as best I can.
Best wishes...Vincent
